Darrens Hope got a deserved win over fences to her name, as she took the Berkshire & Rich History at Kedrah House Stud Beginners Chase.
Rated 130 and successful at Grade 3 level over flights, the Robert Murphy trained eight-year-old was expected to oblige this evening and was sent off the 10/11 favourite.
Placed in a Grade 2 at Limerick over Christmas and third in the Leinster National at Naas, the daughter of Flemensfirth raced in a share of the lead with Siberian Prince (9/2).
The latter blundered two out and Darrens Hope was soon ridden a few lengths clear, keeping on well from there to score by seven lengths under Darragh O'Keeffe.
Siberian Prince had to settle for second under Jack Kennedy, while Heroes Of Renown (20/1) was twenty-four lengths back in third.
"She should have won one before now but we were always in a grade too high," Murphy said.
"She will have one more run before getting a break and is a novice for next year.
"I have only three horses in at the moment."
