John Kiely's Definite Income was the decisive winner of the three mile handicap hurdle in Cork but had to survive a blunder at the last in doing so.

Brian Hayes steered her into the lead from Cadawill after the third last and the pair were clear coming to the final obstacle.

However, Definite Income met it all wrong and ploughed through it. She was soon back on an even keel though and galloped on to win by six lengths. Our Sox finished his race out well for second at 11/1 just ahead of Rosetub (33/1) and Naughty Molly at 20/1.

John Kiely said: ""She is very consistent and stays all day. She likes that ground and I'm hoping for an extended summer! There's a three mile handicap at Clonmel for her in a week."

Definite Income won a three mile handicap hurdle at Wexford in July.
