On his handicap debut Darver Star (11s into 9s) took the Racing TV For 12euros Tomorrow Only Handicap Hurdle at his ease in Wexford.
The pursing favourite Speaker Connolly took what looked to be a bad fall at the second last, and at the finish, Darver Star, with Jonathan Moore up, had ten lengths in hand over Broder
Gavin Cromwell trains Darver Star for the SSP Number Twentytwo Syndicate and the County Meath handler said: "That was grand. The last day here over two miles was just too sharp for him.
"This looked the ideal step-up for him. I thought he wasn't too badly handicapped but that wasn't a bad race today. He won well in the end and he'll jump a fence in time.
"He had some leg trouble before I got him so he might need an ease in the ground. I don't know if he'll stay going for the summer, we'll wait and see."
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eamon High trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a skin scrape on the right hind cannon and to be lame post race.
D.E. Mullins, rider of Epswell (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up lame.
