The Natalia Lupini-trained Dandyville emerged on top after a terrific tussle with Lord Dudley in the Coast To Curragh Charity Cycle Handicap at Fairyhouse.

Lord Dudley won the early duel for the lead in the six furlong contest but couldn't hold his rival late on.

Shane Foley asked Dandyville to tackle the front-runner over a furlong out and he found plenty, edging ahead close home for a head verdict.

It was a third win of the campaign for the Dandy Man gelding who had also won over course and distance in June.

“He's very, very game. He's been in good form since his last run at the Curragh as well,” said Lupini.

“We thought he was drawn on the wrong side of the track at the Curragh.

“Shane said he did that well and we are all very pleased with him. We'll see what the handicapper does now and see how he comes out of the race.”
