The classy Katie T will bid to record her seventh career success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap at the Curragh today.
The Kevin Prendergast-trained six-year-old won the valuable BoyleSports Hurdle at Leopardstown in January and has subsequently struck gold on the level at Limerick.
She was last seen finishing fourth behind the great Annie Power in the Mares Champion Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival and has her attentions switched back to the Flat on Irish Oaks weekend.
It will be interesting to see how she fares running over a mile for the first time in the hands of Chris Hayes, with recent Naas third Corker Hill handicap debutante Gallope and the visored Sparkle Factor from Dermot Weld's yard all rated as dangers. Greyscape got off the mark at Bellewstown last time out and should give a good account of himself in the Pat O'Donovan Irish Racing Excellence Nursery Handicap.
Patrick Prendergast 's juvenile is fitted with a visor for the first time and has most to fear from Leath Na Hoibre Rue Bonaparte and Dancing On Air
Nine have been declared for the O'Briens Wines Handicap and it looks a competitive affair. Digeanta ran a fine race to finish seventh in the Ascot Stakes on his last start and he is sure to have plenty of supporters with Pat Smullen in the saddle for Willie Mullins.
Veteran stayer He's Our Man won well last time out, while others to consider Awesome Star Theophilus Kalann and Face Value Twin Falls ran well to fill the runner-up spot on her last start at Naas and will look to put her experience to good use against a field of newcomers in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
The Waxperts Fillies Maiden brings proceedings to a close and Catalyst Athassel Abbey Chinese Light and Tara Dylan have all shown enough to suggest a race of this nature is within their grasp.
