Trainer Clare Cannon revealed in the aftermath of her win with Coreczka in race four at Dundalk: "I've just two horses and the other one won yesterday (Mount Beckham at Down Royal). It's fantastic and all credit goes to my dad Geoff (owner) as without him I wouldn't be here."
In the Titanbet.co.uk Handicap Tom Madden got the Intense Focus mare Coreczka (7/1, led over two furlongs out) cross the line a length and a half to the good from Bridle Path
Bridle Path came through from the back after dwelling at the stalls. She kept on without threatening Coreczka into second close home.
"This horse loves Dundalk and always runs well here. I gave her a five-week break to freshen her up, and it's worked out well," added Miss Cannon.
The Stewards interviewed Anastasia O'Brien, rider of Shark Island concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion Anastasia O'Brien was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (f) in that she had used her whip with excessive frequency and having taken her record into account, they cautioned her accordingly.
