It was a profitable 35 minutes in Gowran Park for Jake Coen who secured his double aboard Lady Arwen in the Support The Irish Injured Jockeys Fund Handicap over a mile. Rock Etoile and Brewel Hill were battling it out at the head of affairs entering the final furlong, but both proved vulnerable to a closer.
That closer was Lady Arwen who improved into third in her pursuit of them and she cut them down in the closing stages to win a shade cosily by a length and a-half at 9/1.
Rock Etoile (13/2) grabbed the runner-up prize by a short-head from Bright Dick (22/1) as Brewel Hill dropped to fourth.
Trainer Conor O’Dwyer said: “Everyone was saying her best form was over seven, but the way she hit the line at Leopardstown the last day I felt she had to get a mile.
“She’s probably more relaxed now than when she came to us first and good ground is essential to her.
“James Barrett trained her and did a great job with her but I think she was a Breeze Up filly and she was probably just a bit keen. She seems to settle now and got the trip nicely.
“The syndicate (From Clare To Here Syndicate) are from Killaloe in Co Clare.”
Coen rode Partisan Hero to victory in the preceding race on the card.
