Colin Keane was the toast of punters at Dundalk this evening when partnering a 174/1 four-timer as the odds-on Ceallach took the concluding Bar One Racing ‘Price Boosts Across All Channels’ Handicap.
The course specialist was recording a fifth victory at this venue and was continuing a good run of success for the Conyngham Lodge team of Tracey Collins and Michael Halford.
The 4/7 favourite travelled well to lead over a furlong out and Keane didn’t need to get serious to score by three quarters of a length from the staying on Tyson Fury John Alexander was a further three lengths back in third.
The champion jockey was also on the mark earlier aboard I Am Superman (7/2), Hurricane Helen (8/1) and Apercu (7/4).
Collins said, "It was (a good opportunity), it was a race we picked out after his last run. He has had a very consistent year and it is good that he has finished the year on a high.
"He loves that trip here and he travels well on the surface. He moved very well and Colin gave him a lovely ride. We are delighted with him.
"He was very professional about it, he's a very honest horse and a high-grade horse. He was on his game.
"We'll have a look at the programme and see where he is, and then we will go forward from there. He handles the surface up here so well that he will probably come back."
