The On-Course Bookmakers Handicap Hurdle was won by 8/1 shot Road Runner trained by Daniel Miley and ridden by Alain Cawley.

Cawley settled his mount in mid-division, made progress from 3 out, ridden in 2nd before 2 out and kept on well to lead close home.

Miley said afterwards, "This is my first winner in Downpatrick. He loved the ground here today. We will wait to see what the handicapper does with him next, he's only a small horse. I have about 14 horses in training most of them are young horses."
