Queens Carriage gained a deserved victory when running out a convincing winner of the opening fillies maiden at Dundalk.
Kevin Coleman 's charge had been in the money on five of her previous seven starts and got her head in front today in the six-furlong contest.
Mick Hussey tracked front-runner Oh So Woke before sending the 9/4 into lead a furlong-and-a-half out.
The daughter of Mehmas stayed on strongly in the closing stages to record a length-and-a-quarter success over Lay It Out
Queens Carriage had been pipped close home here a fortnight ago and Coleman said:-
“She's been very consistent. I thought she had got up the last day.
“She's had eight runs and ran well every time and she deserved that. I couldn't see her getting beaten tonight and if she had been I would have been scratching my head.
“Obviously we'll put her away now as there is nothing else for her and she's done enough now. She's done what we thought she'd do and she doesn't owe us anymore.
“We thought she'd be sold and we had a few offers for her but when agents came back asking for videos or pictures they said she was too small.
“I said I've plenty of bigger two-year-olds if you want but they're no good!
“I'd prefer to keep a small one that can gallop than a big one that can't.
“She's small and if she trains on it would be great but she's well related and we have that option too if we don't sell her.”
