Cape Of Good Hope who is a full-brother to Highland Reel and Idaho, made all to take the opener at Tipperary this evening, the Glenvale Stud Race.
Seventh and fourth on his first two starts, the Aidan O'Brien trained colt finished behind Copia Verborum on his most recent outing at the Curragh.
That one re-opposed today, with Cape Of Good Hope easily reversing the form, coming home a length to the good under Donnacha O'Brien.
The Andy Slattery trained Decisive Action (14/1) finished second, with the aforementioned Copia Verborum another two and three parts of a length back in third.
Returned the 7/4 favourite, the winning son of Galileo was ridden a furlong out, and kept on well from there.
Donnacha O'Brien said afterwards: "He was a horse who always worked really nice and we always thought he was a smart horse. His first two runs were a bit disappointing really and it just took him a while to get it together mentally and he's doing it now.
"He did it nicely and is a gorgeous horse and when he matures and fills out physically he'll be better again."
The winning trainer added: "He is a lovely horse and is slowly getting there and there'll be more to come I'd say.
"He'll step into one of those Listed races or the Tyros next. He was really green the first day he ran and very green the second day and was green again today.
"In an ideal world you'd prefer to drop him in a bit but he is a horse with plenty early pace."
