Market drifter Call Me Dolly belied the lack of faith in her as she gamely landed the mares' novices' handicap hurdle in Sligo for Gavin Cromwell.

From 4/1 this morning, she took a walk out to an SP of 12/1.

A good jump two out saw her lead the field and another sound leap at the last helped her to land full of running.

She was strongly pressed by a staying-on Getaway Queen on the run-in, but was driven out by James O'Sullivan.

The five-year-old mare took the spoils by a length from 9/1 Getaway Queen. Trixie Mc was three and a quarter lengths further away in third at 17/2. Call The Fairies was absolutely hammered down from a morning price of 8/1 to 6/4 favourite, but was well beaten in seventh.

O’Sullivan said: "I won on her the last day at Punchestown and I thought she was very tough and game.

“I wanted to jump her off good and handy because it didn’t seem like there would be a whole pile of pace in the race.

“A lot of the lads went wide but myself and Darragh O’Keeffe (on the leader Trixie Mc) stayed on the inner.

“The ground might be a little bit fresher further out but, around a track like this, you’re giving away a lot of ground if you stay wide. It seemed to pay off and she handled conditions well.”
