Call Her Now belied a major drift in the betting this morning to get off the mark in the opening mares' maiden hurdle at Listowel.
She was noted drifting right out to 20/1 before on-course support saw her contract to 11/1 on the off.
She raced prominently and Kieren Buckley sent her on before the second flight. The duo were going best of all approaching the penultimate flight with a lead of three lengths.
The Presenting mare got the last wrong, but quickly found a stride and was pushed out to win by two and a quarter lengths from a staying-on Our Girl Sal (33/1). Winning Mischief was another length and a quarter back in third at 14/1.
Trainer Lorna Fowler said: "That is one of my most satisfying winners as she has loads of ability and is gorgeous but has had a lot of little problems, which can add up to a big problem. It has taken a lot of time to get everything right, but she is in a good place.
"She has had me tearing my hair out and I'm very lucky that Peter (Davies) is such a patient owner. We could have run when she was only half-ready, but thought we'd get her fully right and I hope now that Peter's patience will be fully rewarded.
"She won't be going away for a holiday that's for sure and we'll keep her going. I don't think the race has taken a huge amount out of her and of course she will come on from the race.
"The ground is beautiful."
