The Burleigh Accountancy Handicap Hurdle went in great style to the 10-year-old mare Brogine (5/1) who was winning for the third time at Ballinrobe.
She travelled powerfully throughout and was sent into the lead after two out before coming home three lengths clear of 10/3 favourite Mister Fogpatches with 80/1 chance Heist in third place.
The winner had chased home in-form veteran The Trigger on her previous start at Galway and readily went one place better off a 2lbs higher mark to gain a fifth career success.
Winning jockey Cathal Landers said “She likes nice ground so I said I’d stay out on a patch. I done it in the race previous (second on Moyode Lady and it worked.
"When she was rolling I just left her roll. Rather than wait for something I just said I’d leave her go on and she tries her heart out.
"We expected she’d do very well,” said winning trainer Seamus Braddish.
“She likes it here and she was working exceptionally well at home.
“I was expecting a good run but you can never say you’ll win.
“It was fantastic the way she done it and we’ll mix and match with her.
“It’ll depend on what’s coming up next. I have to have a look and see. I’m not sure at the moment but we’ll take today and we’re happy with it.”
