The Brock Inn upset some better fancied sorts to repeat her bumper success at the course when claiming the concluding ladies maiden at Tramore this evening.
The John Nicholson-trained filly had been successful under national hunt rules over the two-mile trip in April and switching to Flat rules here gained her second career success.
Smart hurdler Aminabad was sent off the 6/5 favourite and came with his challenge two furlongs out along with The Brock Inn and Do Try Dolly
The trio fought it out in the closing stages with Laura Hourigan getting The Brock Inn home by a length from Do Try Dolly with Aminabad half a length back in third.
The winner had attracted some support having been as big as 25/1 this morning and returning a 12/1 shot.
"Laura gave her some ride. Horses for course, she won her bumper here.," said Nicholson.
"Mark (Enright) got down off her at Ballinrobe on Monday and said she hated the ground. We did nothing with her since only feed her.
"I always thought she would win one of these. She is a different mare as long as the ground is good.
"She might go for another one on the Flat and she will win her maiden hurdle. That will pay for the one I bought yesterday at the sales!"
