Bridge slams rivals in style
London Bridge proved a different class in the Winner Alright Hurdle at Downpatrick as he sauntered to victory.
Davy Condon sent his mount into the lead before the bypassed second last, taken out after the first circuit fall of Fleeting Moment
Noel Meade 's charge was always his control and soon quickened away from his rivals.
Condon was hard on the steel as the 9/4 joint-favourite cantered to a 12-length success over Makhaaleb
Market rival Bachelor Lad (backed from 3/1) had cut out the running but faded when the winner swept past.
The winner got off the mark at Bellewstown on his last start and looks to be progressing well over timber.
"He surprised me with the ease with which he won," admitted Meade afterwards.
"He took a hefty knock last time at Bellewstown and this race didn't look that simple. The slow pace suited as he got confidence in what he was doing.
"He may go to Galway for a handicap hurdle if he comes out of this ok. You wouldn't know what the handicapper would do after that."
Andrew Thornton was stood down after his fall from Fleeting Moment.
