After completing a treble at Navan yesterday, Aidan O'Brien repeated the feat at Dundalk this evening, as Bravery claimed the Hen & Stag Packages Maiden (earlier successful with Caravaggio and Seventh Heaven .
A good second on his debut at Leopardstown last October, the son of Galileo finished sixth of twenty-five on his return to action at the Curragh last month.
Available at 4/6 last night Bravery was well-supported and went off the 1/2 favourite under Donnacha O'Brien.
In rear early on he soon improved a position into seventh. He was asked to close from two furlongs out and he came through to lead at the furlong pole, keeping on well from there to score by two and a quarter lengths.
Mittersmill (3/1) finished second under Colin Keane for Ger Lyons, while My Fantasea (11/2) was a further half a length back in third under Declan McDonogh for John Oxx.
Joseph O'Brien said afterwards: "He had a good run last year and had a nice start at the Curragh in very bad ground. He ran a nice race there as he was a bit keen.
"He'll step up in class now and could go for the Irish Guineas or a Derby Trial. I'd say there is a good chance he'll run in the Irish Guineas.
"He doesn't need a mile-and-a-half but he might get it."
