The Cola Brasil came from an almost impossible position to get up close home to win Division l of the Come Racing To Fairyhouse Next Sunday Handicap at Fairyhouse.

Drawn out wide in stall 19, Jake Coen soon found himself in rear of the 18 runners. His mount never travelled in the early stages and looked set to play no involvement in the finish as he toiled at the back turning into the straight.

However, once a gap appeared, Coen pushed the Michael Browne trained six-year-old through and he delivered a strong run down the wide outside.

Only getting in as third reserve, the gelding who finished fourth at Naas on Saturday, made the most of this opportunity to win easier than at first glance.

“He was unlucky in Naas as he was climbing in the air when he asked him to go,” said Browne.

“It's taken him a while to learn and even today I was a bit worried turning in. He's a big gangly horse that takes a bit of organising.

“He stayed at it well and won it well. He's in again on Sunday and I might run him.

“I had it in my head that he'd win at Naas, today and then go for three in a week!”
