Bookies knocked over by cheap Feathers
White Feathers & Paul Townend soar over the last at Kilbeggan

She may only be rated 44 on the flat but White Feathers has found her vocation over flights and after being unfortunate to go down by a head to an odds-on chance here eight days ago, she gained compensation in the Tullamore Maiden Hurdle at Kilbeggan this evening under Paul Townend.
On this occasion, White Feathers was herself a heavily-backed 4/7 favourite to take a small field two miler with little strength in depth. The victorious Beat Hollow (now of course a popular draw at Ballylinch Stud) filly only had the remaining hurdles and Westhaven to contend with from some way out and she ultimately accounted for that fellow by eleven lengths.
Garrett Power now handles the former Joanna Morgan inmate for William Cuddihy and the Kilkenny trainer, on the mark for the first time since August 2010, said: "She was the horse with the form but I was worried being a filly whether she'd be right (making a quick reappearance).
"She's good and genuine and jumps well. She'll probably go for a mares winners of one back here and going back on the flat is a possibility too with her low rating."
White Feathers changed hands for a mere 1,000 Euros at Goffs last October. (TW & EM)
