Runner-up at Listowel last month, Boher Road (7/4) went one better in the Hollywoodbets Supports Brentford Maiden in the hands of Ronan Whelan.
Despite the addition of a first-time hood, the Vadamos gelding raced keenly close to the pace but those exertions didn't stop him at the business end as he led two furlongs out and stayed on well to hold 6/5 favourite Painters Palette by three parts of a length. Outsider Chain Of Destiny was a further two and three quarter lengths away in third.
Winning trainer Jarlath Fahey said: "He's a nice horse and he has improved with every run. We knew we had the form in the book to be there or thereabouts today.
“It's great to get a win, he's home-bred by Pat McCarthy who is a great supporter of the yard. We'll see what mark he gets, we've no real plan for him.
“He could be a horse that goes over hurdles, Pat will decide that.
“Ronan gave him a great ride, he could have done with a bit more cover but it just didn't work out for him today.
“Ronan says he'll go further so hopefully when he learns his job he'll do that.”
