Baldomero opened his account at the sixth attempt when justifying 9/4 favouritism in the Price Boosts All Favourites At Dundalk Apprentice Maiden under leading apprentice Dylan Browne McMonagle.

Trained by Joseph O’Brien for Chantal Regalado-Gonzalez, the son of Shalaa travelled smoothly for most of this seven-furlong contest before leading early in the final furlong.

He kept on well to score by a length and a quarter from Shahaada with Ginsburg finding no extra in the closing stages a neck back in third.

O’Brien’s assistant Brendan Powell said, “Dylan said they didn’t go much of a gallop but he got him across lovely from a wide draw. On ratings he was entitled to win it.

“It’s nice to get his head in front and he looks a horse that will progress. He likes this surface and seven is ideal for the moment.”
