Jamie Codd put Antimatter s experience to good use as on his eighth outing under rules he prevailed in the concluding Bank Of Ireland INH Flat Race at Ballinrobe.

Codd always had the front-running Riverrainshine in his sights on the 7/1 shot, and he asked him to go and win his race from two furlongs out having led from the three pole.

Willie and Patrick Mullins' odds-on first-timer West Burma was ridden in pursuit in the final quarter mile, and it was soon apparent that he wouldn't be bridging the gap.

West Burma made inroads in the closing stages but he was still two and a half lengths down on the Edward McHugh-owned and Prunella Dobbs-trained Antimatter at the line.

"Tonight was the night to be honest. Prunella said she had him in good form and to be fair he collected," said Codd.

"I don't know what the plans are now. I'd presume he'll go hurdling."

Unfortunately Secret Endeavour pulled up injured in the back straight.

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Poormans Hill trained by John Neilan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount started bucking after the start and he was unseated.
