Colin Keane repeated his Fairyhouse heroics from Wednesday with another treble at Dundalk. His boss, Ger Lyons' Snowmane completed the hat-trick in the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap.
Keane rode winners earlier for Ado McGuinness on Beau Satchel and My Good Brother for Tom McCourt and he completed the three-timer at combined odds of over 54/1 when Snowmane (5/2 favourite) led a furlong out on the way to a five length verdict over Long Journey Home
Lyons commented: "That's his trip, a mile and two on good ground. We were probably stretching him a bit over further.
"He'll probably get a good adjustment for that. He's in the horses in training sale at the end of the month so we'll speak to the boss and see."
Meanwhile Keane stated: "We fancied him a bit as he won over a mile and two at Down Royal real well and we then stepped him up in trip as we thought he was a stayer.
"He was running a bit keen then though. We dropped him out the last day and he was a bit unlucky and we brought him back to a mile and two today and rode him handy and it seemed to work. There was a good strong gallop the whole way and he picked up well and he won easy.
"He loved the surface around here so you'd imagine he'd pick up another one of them around here no bother.
"It was brilliant to get the first treble up at Fairyhouse especially second day back for the boss (after the ban picked up for failing to weigh in at Wexford). To get the three of them all up was brilliant.
"I was delighted to be asked to go over and ride Mind Of Madness at Redcar tomorrow. I'm looking forward to that now." (MG & EM)
