Super sire Galileo has produced another exciting prospect in the shape of Ernest Hemingway The 3yo first-timer ran away with Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at Dundalk under Joseph O'Brien.
The market didn't suggested any outstanding performance was in the offing but Ernest Hemingway, a solid 5/2 chance, had no idea what price he was and he was soon at the head of affairs.
With fellow market leaders Handazan (lame) and Teodolite performing way below expectations, it was left to Hes Our Music to give chase in the final quarter mile. However he, and the rest, were soon pursuing shadows as Ernest Hemingway effortlessly strode away for a ten length victory.
Joseph O'Brien said of the Ballydoyle youngster: "He's a grand horse. My sister Ana (European Eventing medallist) rides him out every day and she told me this morning that he'd win.
"He's a lovely big horse - he's genuine and does everything right.
"It mightn't have been the greatest race but he has a good attitude." (AM & EM)
