The Michael Grassick trained American Princess followed up on her recent course win here when coming home in front of The Knockmealdown Handicap under apprentice jockey Danny Mullins.

Winning trainer Grassick said afterwards, "I didn't think she'd win. She's hard enough to train, she's a terrible worrier and she got a little bit upset before the race and I thought her race was gone at that stage but she's just so honest and genuine. She's in Ballinrobe on Monday but I think it might come a bit too soon for her."
