Tesseract fell at the second last when still in with every chance, while so to did Zagnzig 0AMaher, who was successful with Lucy Van Pelt at the venue on Tuesday, wasn't on hand to welcome his winner and Meyler said: "He must have a good one point-to-pointing today.

"It worked out well in the end. He jumped, travelled and stayed at it well.

"I was glad to get a tow down to the second last and he actually had a little look around going down to the last so he won snug enough in the end. I'm delighted with that.

"To be fair to my old horse he stuck his head down and rallied the whole way to the line. It was a good performance."

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Big Leg Up trained by J.G.Cosgrave, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
