Liz Doyle and Sean Flanagan, on the mark with 25/1 chance After Aspen, at Down Royal just over a week back, combined for another success today at Clonmel, when All The Way Home took the Bishop Auckland Theatre Hooligans Handicap Chase.
The grey daughter of Alderbrook, put up by a top tipster on a leading website, found support from as big as 16/1 this morning, into 6/1, and she tackled the luckless Heavenly Brook from the second last fence.
All The Way Home led at the last, and she went on to defeat Heavenly Brook by two and a half lengths.
The market principals, Ibetellingyoualie and well-backed favourite, Winter Magic had to settle for third and fourth places.
"I only had her seven weeks before her first run for me in January, and I thought she was fit enough but she blew up," revealed Doyle.
"I thought she'd win today but she seemed to struggle a bit on that sticky and horrible ground."
I.J. McCarthy, rider of Kilmurry Kid trained by John G. Hayes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled on todays ground.
