The Follow Navan On Twitter Maiden was won in straightforward fashion by Barbados bringing up a double on the card for Aidan and Donnacha O'Brien.
Sixth on his sole start as a juvenile, the son of Galileo went down by just a short head on his return to action at Naas last month.
He was fourth, in what might turn out to be a good quality contest, at Cork on his most recent start, and was expected to make the breakthrough today, going to post the clear 4/6 favourite.
Sent straight to the front, the bay colt made all. He was ridden over a furlong out and soon went clear, going on to score easily by five and a half lengths. Elizabeth Way (2/1) got up close home to take second under Ronan Whelan for Mick Halford, while Bitcoin Boy (8/1) was a head back in third.
Out of Sumora, the winner is a full-brother to Group 1 winner Maybe.
"He's a lazy little fella but he finds plenty for pressure," Donnacha O'Brien said.
"He had the form in the book and he should win a maiden like that.
Reflecting on his previous run at Cork he added: "I think some of our horses aren't as effective going right-handed, especially when they don't have much experience and I think he was probably a bit better today.
"I think he'll stay as far as we want him to."
Aidan & Donnacha O'Brien earlier took the feature race on the card with Western Australia
