Aared gained a deserved win when getting his head in front at the eleventh attempt in the Bet On The Grand National At Titanbet.co.uk Maiden at Dundalk.

Kevin Prendergast 's charge had been placed on five runs before tonight, including when beaten a nose on his most recent run at this track last month.

The 4/9 favourite made no mistake this time as he chased down Eddystone Rock inside the final furlong to secure a half length victory under Chris Hayes.

The winning rider said afterwards:- “He promised a lot at home all along. He had a little break at Derrinstown and came back lovely and fresh.

“The boss has the horses in great form and he'll be a fun horse this year.”
