A Case Of You rocketed home in the closing stages at Naas to win a bunch finish to the Group 3 Goffs Lacken Stakes over an extended five furlongs at Naas.
The admirable Mooneista came to head Laws Of Indices inside the final furlong and kept finding for Wayne Lordan.
it was all change in the final 50 yards, though, as A Case Of You and Ronan Whelan stormed home on the outer to get up in the final strides.
The 7/2 shot nailed Mooneista (8/1) by a neck. Power Under Me was a head further back in third at 17/2. Laws Of Indices ran a fine race under top weight a neck out of the places in fourth.
The stewards reversed the placings of the second and third home as Mooneista bumped and hampered Power Under Me close home - the official result had Power Under Me (17/2) second and Mooneista third at 8/1.
Ado McGuinness said: “We gave him a break after Leopardstown where we were a bit disappointed with him. He pulled hard that day and we said we’d drop him back to sprinting.
“Obviously that is his forte. He had to dig deep there today and he’s tough. I think he’ll improve a little bit as I haven’t been very hard on him. I gave him an easy time after Leopardstown.
“It’s great for the lads and at least they will be able to go to Royal Ascot now. He's entered in the Commonwealth Cup, and we might enter him for the Group 3 over seven over there.
“He handles cut in the ground but I worked him up the Curragh the other day and he travelled sweet on nice ground.
“They all tell me all-weather horses go well in Royal Ascot and his Dundalk run with Logo Hunter and Mooneista is rock-solid form now.”
Paddy Power have A Case Of You at 12/1 from 33/1 and Mooneista 16s from 33/1 for the Commonwealth Cup.
