Gigginstown House Stud, Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore doubled their tally on Punchestown's card as Monbeg Chit Chat (7/2 favourite) led home a 1,2,3 for his stable in the Download And Bet With The Ladbrokes App Handicap Chase.
A son of Kayf Tara, Monbeg Chit Chat seemed to come forward for this encounter with better ground to upstage Our Dougal (not helped by a loose horse) by three parts of a length. Mullinavat couldn't live with his stable companions from before the final fence and was eleven lengths off in third at the finish. Nick Lost had earlier done the business for Gigginstown/de Bromhead and Blackmore in the beginners chase.
"I'm a lucky girl to be getting the opportunity on these and I'm just very thankful to Gigginstown and Henry for having the confidence to give me the chances on them," stated Blackmore.
For his part de Bromhead said: "He was a bit disappointing during the winter but again this better ground suits him.
"I thought Andrew was very unlucky with the loose horse but they all ran well and jumped well. Our Dougal will go to Killarney for the handicap chase there. I don't know if the winner will be rated high enough but if they are that would be the race for them."
J.J. Burke, rider of Blacklough trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel in running.
