Grace saddles first winner in over 18 years
Tidy Zag made a successful return to action when running out a convincing winner of the bumper at Thurles. Thu 22nd Dec
He's had a lot of problems but likes it around here - although he never won here before he has worked around here a lot of times,. It's super to win at his age and he's had a lot of physio with Jim Bergin who has helped to keep him right and it's the first year in three that we've been able to train him from race to race. In fairness to the handicapper he gave him a chance and hopefully he's not finished yet.
Ray Hackett
The horse in very healthy in himself and we've been a long time waiting for that to come about. We're able to kick on with him now and it makes a big difference,. He's has improved from Tramore and we'll see how he comes out of this now. We'll let him dictate when to go again but we'll probably look at something in four to six weeks time.
Ray Hackett
He bounced out so fresh and well after Sunday, which is unusual for him, so we had to take out chance,.
Ray Hackett
He won his bumper [for James Grace at Thurles in December 2011], but he's had a lot of problems since. He's very hard to keep right and when you think you have him something goes wrong. I've had him since I got my licence 18 months ago. That's my third winner and I have four in training. We'll see how he is, he's in at Tramore on Thursday.
Ray Hackett
I only renewed my licence a year ago as things are quiet in the business I'm in. I had a licence ten years ago,. I own Mick The Man and also have his dam. It's a relief to win with this lad. We've no real plans - today was the plan - but he'll probably go hurdling.
James Grace
