That’s the best win since the day we started training. Lads have doubted our horse but he’s the best horse that we have ever had anything to do with. We were coming here today wondering would he take off. He burst a blood vessel in Galway last year and he’s thought about things a bit since. We were going for the Galway Plate with him and have decided to go to Galway on the Sunday for the Lord Hemphill Chase. I’m very proud of him. He’s a very, very good horse when he goes and if he goes at Galway on the Sunday he won’t be beaten either! He’ll go for six months of a break then because he deserves it. Robbie gave him a great ride and works with us every day. We said we’d put up somebody that knows him after JJ Slevin had to go back to Kilbeggan. We’ve a small stable of 12 horses and are trying to build it up. This horse is like a Grade 1 horse to us and is an outstanding bit of stuff. He may be a shade off Grade 1 but he’s our Grade 1 horse and is a credit to his owner Michael Hogan. The day he tells us he doesn’t want to go we won’t force him as he means too much to us.

I'm delighted with him. We got a bit of a shock at the bottom of the straight but he still went and did his job,. John Ryan's horse (Ferdia) isn't a bad horse. Our lad will come on from that again and we'll see where we go now. He might go for the Grimes Hurdle or maybe to Galway for the novice chase on the Thursday. It wasn't as easy as you'd expect but he still got it done. He's still learning over fences and it was grand to have a horse rattle down over them with him there as the fences are a bit bigger here than in Ballinrobe. He won his race snugly in the end. You'd be thinking that a race is average but when you go and try to win them they are not that average. We're happy out with him.

To win our first Graded race is unreal and we are lucky to even have a horse to contest one, never mind win one. He is a credit to his owner and the lads at home. We thought he might be a little short today but every time we think that, he is still good enough and is always there. Paul gave him a great ride and went on the outer for the better ground. He has a high enough rating and while he didn't win by a lot, we will stay in graded company and think about a Galway Hurdle (fifth in the 2019 renewal). He shouldn't go up. We have a dozen horses in at home, he is our stable star and I don't think three miles worked at Grade 1 level the last day. Eventually next year we'll go for a Grade 1 race again but maybe he is a horse who will win Grade 2s and 3s but we'll keep dreaming with him. We are over the moon with him and Michael (Hogan, winning owner) is very important to him as horses like him are usually in big yards. We'll treat him like the star he is for us.

I had an owner telling me lately my gallop was a bit too small but it's plenty big now!. the lads at home do a great job and I never had a good horse until we got him. He is a proper good horse and we can keep dreaming. He had a little issue last year and we gave him the full year off . We did a lot of minding him to keep him in one piece but he was very good after it and hopefully he'll be ok tomorrow. That was great and he is a credit to his owner Michael Hogan who never rushed me with the horse. He is a very good horse and we had him away to the Curragh a few times but had no schooling race and I thought he'd need the run to be honest. We'll make plans tonight or tomorrow but you can go anywhere once you've beaten a horse (beaten favourite and faller Petit Mouchoir) who was second in Cheltenham. He'll improve a little bit from today and we won't get carried away — talking never made a horse win.

We’re delighted and he’s doing everything we’re asking of him. We have a small yard with 15 horses in at the moment and he’s by far the best we’ve ever had. He’s owned by a great man, Michael Hogan, and he trusts us with him. We will have 30 in for the winter and we are always open to getting good horses into the yard.

He is progressing away nicely and taking every step at a time. We are very pleased with him. He will get 10 days off now and he'll do a bit of swimming and we'll bring him to the beach. He'll go back to Ballinrobe at the end of next month for a 50,000 euro race (the McHale Mayo Hurdle). All going well that is where he will go. He is doing his job well. We might bring him to Galway and he could run on the flat too. He seems to have enough gears for the flat.

We're delighted with him - he's a very good little horse,. Hopefully the handicapper is not too hard on him. He's only 16 hands but he's worth getting up for every day. He'll go to Punchestown - maybe for a Grade Two or Three and it's credit to Michael (Hogan, owner) that he kept him because we're a selling yard. I had him fairly straight for today and hopefully we'll be going to Galway with him this summer. Please God he'll be a Galway Hurdle type in time.

We always thought a lot of him and we thought we'd step him up in trip and expose the ones that mightn't stay and bowl along and make all,. He's a grand little horse and is worth getting up for every day - he's why we're trying to train horses. We might take him to England for a novice or else leave him off as he has enough done as he's a nice four year old. He's belonging to the best owner (Michael Hogan) that you could possibly have and he had chances to sell him after the bumper he won and he kept him. . Please god he'll be a horse for Galway next summer as we are yet to get a Galway winner and it'd be nice to get it. He's a lovely horse to look forward to.
