I was a bit worried coming down when I saw that it was gone to yielding to soft as she is more effective on better ground but she travelled very well today. She was drawn 13 of 13 at Dundalk the last day and was asleep leaving the stalls but flew home. She has natural speed, is an out-and-out five (furlongs) filly and does fast times with big weights. We might have to travel with her though and we'll look for a Listed race and hope to get black-type before the end of the year.
W McCreery
She is the laziest thing and needed her two runs this year. The draw helped as she had the speed beside her with Chiclet and everything worked out well,” . The faster ground the better for her and she loves rattling off it and it was a fast time (57.0sec). We'll be aiming at Premier Handicaps as that's her level now and she has enough experience to travel to England for those fast sprints.
W McCreery
She is strengthening up the whole time and I'm delighted with that,. Like all sprinters she needs to get 'an arse' on her, and strengthen up, and the blinkers helped her concentrate. She's very honest but can be away with the fairies at times and is very laid-back for a sprinter.
W McCreery
She's been very consistent in her maidens but is bone idle and I put the visor on to try and get her to focus a bit. She's owned by Stephen McCarthy who worked for the late John Mulhern in the yard I'm now renting, and she'll go now for the Rockingham. Ideally if we could find a fillies only Listed race over five furlongs that would be great. That's really a treble as I had the last winner in Navan yesterday!
W McCreery
She doesn't know she's a sprinter yet but she's an out-and-out five furlong filly. She deserved her win and Billy said she was idling in front the whole way up the straight and with the other horse (Zaindera) leaning in he couldn't get a slap into her. She'll be a proper sprinter next year. Her brother was a fair horse and it would be great if we can have as much fun with her. I'd day that surface was a little bit firm for her.
W McCreery
