He's a hardy tough horse. He handles fast ground and he stays. I thought St Nicholas Abbey ran a good race (3rd in the Champion Stakes to Snow Fairy) and we're very happy with him.

They went slow and he was in a good position. He seems to be coming to himself now and hopefully he'll be better than a handicapper but we will have to wait and see.

This is my fifth time here since I rode as an amateur in the earlier nineties. I was worried about the ground I thought he might get tired on it. He might get even further judging by that performance. It's tough going out there. They do a great job here. I've never been here before as a trainer.
