Ed Dunlop's globetrotting mare Snow Fairy added another Group One prize to her illustrious haul as she took the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown.

Ridden by Frankie Dettori in the absence of the injured Ryan Moore, the 15-8 chance was settled well off the pace set by Daddy Long Legs but always seemed to have her main rival Nathaniel covered.

John Gosden's colt was driven into the lead at the top of the straight, but Snow Fairy closed up smoothly and soon asserted to win by a length and a quarter, with St Nicholas Abbey running on for third.

Sir Henry Cecil's raider Chachamaidee (11-2) was handed the Coolmore Fusaichi Pegasus Matron Stakes in the stewards' room after a thrilling finish in which she was short-headed by Duntle

David Wachman's filly had a troubled passage and there was some scrimmaging as she extricated herself before flying home to catch Emulous in the shadow of the post, with Chachamaidee also finishing fast under Tom Queally. That was just the beginning of the drama.

Jim Bolger's filly Alla Speranza (10-1) was produced with a long run down the outside by Kevin Manning to catch the always prominent Primevere and hot favourite Speaking Of Which for a half-length victory in the Group Three KPMG Enterprise Stakes.

Prolific winner Famous Name is pencilled in for Sunday's Curragh meeting and his Dermot Weld-trained sister Big Break (9-10 favourite) careered away with the Irish Stallions Farms EBF Fillies Maiden under Pat Smullen, winning by four lengths.

Aidan O'Brien's youngster Battle Of Marengo (9-10 favourite) looks a serious horse judged on his all-the-way victory under Joseph O'Brien in the ICON Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Trial. The pair doubled up with top-weight I Have A Dream (8-1) in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Handicap.

Ger Lyons landed a big pot with Lily's Angel (10-1) on her first run for the yard when Gary Carroll pounced late to take the Leopardstown September Handicap by a neck.
