We don't have him too long, three weeks, and hopefully we can keep hold of him now,. On that evidence he'd probably stay even further. That was the one doubt coming into it but he's put that to bed anyway. Daire as very good on him. We just told him to ride him cold and in fairness to the young lad he used his head, he seen Colin moving and he moved up with him. He's a nice little rider now and great value for 10lb. We'll probably go back handicapping if we do hold on to him, maybe this trip again or we could try him over a little bit further, which would open things up, as he does settle well. We were saying before if we did hold on to him we'll show him a hurdle and hopefully get another couple of wins out of him.

I’d say this will be his last run for me as I think he’s going to be claimed. I see a few lads with the phones out already!. We’ve had great fun with this horse. The lads (Shamrock Thoroughbreds) have a good few quid in the account from him winning and have decided to buy something else. I’m not saying we’re going to get a horse that will win three times in a year. He’s a great fun horse but I just feel that he needs to come down a few pound in the handicap. He’s nine so that’s why we have him in at that class of money.

I was congratulating Pat Martin (trainer of Reckless Lad) as I thought we were chinned and his horse had got the record,. He just hit the line the right way. He deserved to get it because he's been running very consistently. It was great for the boys. Stephen (Thorne), that works for me, set up Shamrock Thoroughbreds and it's great to get a win with him. He's a real fun horse. The boys are getting a great bit of fun and he's making a few quid all the time as well. I think there's a claimer here in January for him and he'll tip away in handicaps as well. He loves the all-weather.
