Harry Rogers enjoyed a welcome turn when his Elusive Ridge easily took the Fethard Maiden at Clonmel today, scoring well under five times Champion Jockey Pat Smullen. Thu 27th May
It's amazing that the ground is not too bad. He got away with it here. He was very sore after the Curragh as top of the ground there is very different to Dundalk. He is entered again tomorrow (7:25 at Leopardstown) and I'll see how he is in the morning but I doubt he'll run. Smullen was very good on him.

He's been a great servant,. I thought he might get touched off for a minute but he quickened well. He loves that fast surface. The horses are going well and we're having a bit of luck.

He did it well and he got a good ride. He's been a good old servant and the fast sand suits. He'll be back here next week for a mile and a quarter or a mile race.

Pat just kicked on at the right time and he showed there why he is champion jockey. This horse stays well and he was good to win over that trip. He is entered at Gowran Park on Friday and that could be a possibility once I see how he comes out of this race.

It was a good ride. He dictated well on him. That's his first winner for me and he was very good on him,. He might come back here for a premier handicap.

it must have been an ordinary maiden and he was entitled to win like that. He likes fast ground and hopefully will end up at the Galway Festival along the way.
