That's great, he bounced back. The horses are running well and obviously he's after coming back into a bit of good order. The lads stuck with him, he wasn't shining for a while, and that's a big help. They are a happy bunch of lads now. He slipped down the handicap which obviously helped a bit. We'll get him home and see where he is, at least he ran well so away we go.

He's a horse that has been knocking on the door. He won a couple here a few years ago and is back off a competitive mark,. With those horses at that range claiming off them is vital. He's at a stage where he can run well and then you have to be lucky enough for things to go right. Siobhan claiming 7lb off him really helped, that was the difference, and she rode him as well as any non claiming jockey. She didn't panic on him. It's not like she went ten wide, she waited until the straight and he has that little bit of toe. They went strong enough in it.

The faster the ground the better. He ran so well in Dundalk and he just wants nice quick ground. He's a horse that had a wind issue and I thought coming up the hill in Galway wasn't the job for him. We thought he had performed so well in Dundalk and the like of here was similar on quick ground. It's brought the best out of him.

The owners are a great bunch of sporting lads from Mulvany’s pub in Dunboyne. He had a few issues and things just didn’t work out but it worked out well tonight. He was a good winner tonight at any distance and any weight, so hopefully there might be another day in him.
