FormscanBy John O'Riordan - Now that he has recaptured the winning habit, GEGENPRESSING can follow up his recent Sligo success. A four-time winner, the Eddie and Patrick Harty-trained six-year-old looks well treated off his current rating. Despite being raised to a mark of 51, the gelding had won off 24lb higher in the past. Naas runner-up Reinforce appears to have gradually improved this season. The four-year-old ran a career best latest when runner-up in a higher grade than this one at Naas. If he can reproduce that effort he won't be too far away. Amanirenas doesn't appear to be in the best of form right now but dropping into the bottom grade on a track where she has won previously could see a revival.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 47-65Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
