FormscanBy Tom Weekes - Seven-time winner ELLAAT might benefit from a recent all-weather outing and is better suited by this distance than most. His 2023 form was good, ran well in a November hurdle and likes heavy ground. Answering ran well in two recent useful maidens. The winner, runner-up and fourth-placed horses from his December run won subsequently and he indeed chased home that same runner-up when finishing second over course-and-distance recently. He concedes 4lb to the selection. Three-time winner Robinstown won a similar claimer by 25 lengths in January but dropping in distance is a concern. Ballyadam Destiny flopped in that Limerick claimer and now runs over an inadequate distance. Politicise hasn't won since October 2020 and is another which lacks pace at this trip. Cosmic Rock runs in first-time cheekpieces while veteran Magnium pulled up recently. Routine Excellence pulled up in a recent Musselburgh handicap chase on February 3, seems to have lost his way and would prefer further.
