FormscanBy John O'Riordan - Monday evenings runaway handicap hurdle winner SON OF HYPNOS holds strong claims reverting to the flat. A former course and distance winner, the Kevin Smith-trained seven-year-old couldn't be in better form at present, as evidenced by his rout on day one of the festival. Arch Enemy, who was due to run over a mile on Tuesday, should be even better suited to this longer distance. A mare who always seems to get going too late in her races, the five-year-old has run well at this venue previously. Recent Killarney winner Best Law has been raised 9lb subsequently but the form of that race has been advertised by the runner-up since. It would be no surprise to see further progression from the son of Aclaim.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 50-70Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
