FormscanBy Alan Magee - CHANSUN POUR SOI and Min finished first and second in this race 12 months ago and it would certainly be no surprise if history repeated itself. The selection was a last minute scratching from the Champion Chase at Cheltenham last year due to a stone bruise and is a hot favourite to make amends next month having readily won both outings this season. Min won the previous two runnings of this race and, having gained a deserved Cheltenham Festival success in the Ryanair Chase last March, completed a hat-trick of wins in the 2m4f John Durkan Chase at Punchestown last time. He’s a gelding of the highest quality but just appears to lack the gears of his stablemate. Notebook appears soundly held on running here at Christmas, while Fakir D’oudairies drops down significantly in trip but hasn’t shown much spark this term.
