FormscanBy Alan Magee - JON RIGGENS won a maiden over course and distance and has shown his best form since on very testing ground. He filled the runner-up spot twice last autumn and didn’t enjoy a clear passage when beating all bar Magical Vision on his final start at Naas. The selection had Earls behind on that occasion but the Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding had previously completed a four-timer over a variety of trips culminating over six furlongs on soft ground at Naas. Downforce relishes testing ground and having held a career high rating of 111, turned the clock back when scoring again over six furlongs here last October. Verhoyen is a four-time course winner but has not won over this trip, while Saliteh and Laugh A Minute have the benefit of a recent run at Dundalk.
