Review wexford 21st May Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning were the stars of the show at Wexford, with Mianach completing a double for the trainer and jockey duo in the Black Point Handicap.Sent off the 6-4 favourite despite being raised 9lb for his recent Navan second, Mianach travelled well enough and joined a line of four horses at the furlong pole.Kevin Manning drove him into the lead close home and he went on to record a three quarters of a length success over Dragons Den, though he had to survive an inquiry.Bolger and Manning landed their first victory when Ceannline got the better of a protracted tussle with Anam Chara before going on to land the Campile Handicap. The 6-1 winner drew alongside the pacesetting Anam Chara after the two furlong pole, and though it took plenty of effort to get on top, she still had enough to deny the fast-finishing Desert Romance by a length.Foolish Comment showed a tremendous turn of foot to land the Barrow Maiden at Wexford.Charlie Swan's charge was held up in the early stages by Billy Lee, but he moved stylishly into contention at the two furlong pole.Lady L tried to go with the 4-1 winner, but he pulled out plenty for Lee on the home turn and strode clear to score by a yawning five and a half lengths.Hedaaya (9-2) kept close to the inside rail and that move proved decisive as she got the better of Treasure The Odds to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden under Declan McDonogh. The Owenduff Handicap produced a thrilling finish as Paul Townend rousted Not To Know upsides the Bryan Cooper-ridden Asiya close home.Townend's efforts were not in vain, though as Not To Know (4-1) came out on top by the narrowest of margins.
