Young Conor Maxwell possibly felt like he was owed one off Bulls And Mortar and the nine-year-old finally delivered in the Pickardstown Handicap Chase at Tramore.
Maxwell was on board last October at Thurles when the pair parted company and the jockey broke both of his wrists.
Bulls And Mortar had gone over four years since his last win in a maiden hurdle and was sent off at 12-1 but he won by two and a half lengths.
"We've been waiting a long time for that," said winning trainer Eoghan O'Grady.
"He won a point-to-point and a maiden hurdle at Cork (in November 2006) but he's a long time winning one since.
"Conor broke both his wrists off this horse last October so he owed him that. He'll go for something similar."
Tadgh (8-1) bounced back to winning ways in the Graun Hill Handicap Hurdle.
Edward O'Grady's charge was a well beaten favourite last time out at Limerick but Pat Mangan guided him to a nine-length success.
"The race was run to suit him and he jumped better today," said O'Grady.
"He seemed to like the better ground and he'll go for a novice handicap at Fairyhouse on Easter Monday."
An odds-on chance in the morning, Fever Pitch drifted to 13-8 on course but defied the negative market vibes to land the www.tramore-racecourse.com Maiden Hurdle.
Alan Crowe's mount took it up going out on the final circuit and found plenty for pressure to see off Raggletagglegypsy by four lengths.
Winning trainer Arthur Moore said: "He's a nice horse and handled the good ground well.
"We'll keep him going for a while but I'm not sure if he's a summer horse yet. He'll go chasing eventually."
Old Theatre Royal (7-1) won the Lismore Handicap Hurdle by eight lengths for Brian O'Connell and trainer Lorcan Donnelly.
