The Henry de Bromhead-trained Attribution ran out a determined winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Klairon Davis Novice Chase at Navan.
The 4-1 shot, who was third to classy stable companion Identity Thief in the Craddockstown on his previous outing, kept another De Bromhead inmate Three Stars company at the front end of this Grade Three.
Odds-on favourite Briar Hill loomed up to challenge two out, but he is better over further and couldn't quite peg back Attribution, who prevailed by half a length.
Ball D'Arc was a place behind Attribution in the Craddockstown and looked the likely winner of the Foxrock Handicap Chase when cruising into contention at the second-last.
However, he found less than expected, whereas Oscar Knight (7-1) responded to all of Mark Enright's questions and ran right the way to the line to land the valuable prize by six and a half lengths for Tom Mullins.
