Review kilbeggan 15th Jul Future All Star (8-1) looks a chaser of some potential, judging by his win in the Gigginstown House Midlands National at Kilbeggan.Colm Murphy's eight-year-old has really blossomed this summer and was the only one to throw down a genuine challenge to long-time leader Flemross after the third-last fence.For a while, it looked as though the front-runner would hold on, but John Cullen conjured a second wind from Future All Star, who stuck on well to score by two lengths.There was a cracking finish to the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase, with the judge unable to split Otay Kawn (5-1) and 11-8 market leader Trendelenburg.The pair made their moves in unison approaching the last fence, both travelling strongly, and while Otay Kawn edged into what looked a decisive advantage in the shadows of the post, Trendelenburg rallied again to grab a share of the spoils.After being tapped for toe over the minimum trip at Wexford, Benefitofthewest showed her appreciation for an extra three furlongs by landing the Coola Handicap Hurdle.The 12-1 chance touched down over the penultimate flight disputing the lead and had stolen a winning march by the last, en route to a two-and-a-half-length defeat of Run Along Boy.Tory Hill Lad rolled back the years to spring a 25-1 surprise in the Ladies Day At Kilbeggan Handicap Hurdle.Hannah Lee's 12-year-old was always prominent and while his task was made slightly easier when Derrinlanna came down three out and Kalico Kim slipped on the home turn, he still battled admirably to account for Excellent As Usual by a couple of lengths.Black Rock Lake (6-1) was one of the more experienced performers heading into the Athlone Maiden Hurdle and that told as she beat Miss Nomer by 13 lengths, while the Tom McCormack Memorial Mares Maiden Hurdle went the way of 10-1 shot Annie Other.
