Leading point-to-point trainer Colin Bowe had a day to remember at Fairyhouse as stable stalwart Askanna and racecourse debutant Clondaw Kaempfer landed a big-race double.
Prolific winner Askanna bounced back to her best after being pulled up on her last two outings when given an attacking ride by Andrew McNamara in the John Fowler Memorial EBF Mares Chase.
The seven-year-old (16-1) was sent on at halfway and made the best of her way home, staying on strongly to hold Banjaxed Girl her closest pursuer all the way, by a length and a quarter.
Bowe followed that up when Clondaw Kaempfer, placed in two points, clawed back the lead held by Nicky Henderson's Snake Eyes to take the richest race of the day, the Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper.
Snake Eyes looked the winner when bursting clear on the turn into the straight, but he tied up and Colin Motherway grabbed him on Clondaw Kaempfer (20-1), who then held The Liquidator by half a length.
Tony McCoy switched to Ballynacree in the Weatherbys Ireland GSB Hurdle in the absence of another of the JP McManus-owned runners, and the move paid off as the Christy Roche-trained four-year-old won.
The 3-1 shot held a slight advantage at the final flight and McCoy then got the better of a duel with Ruby Walsh on Gorgeous Sixty to score by a length and a quarter.

The 7-1 winner, trained by Willie Mullins, led travelling sweetly on the turn for home before easing away to score by a comfortable three and a half lengths.
The McManus colours were back in the winner's enclosure after the Dan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase, but it was the outsider of the owner's three runners, the Tom Mullins-trained Bob Lingo (12-1), who carried them to victory by three and a half lengths under Mark Walsh.
