Denis Linehan brought More Than Munny with a late challenge to collar odds-on favourite Go Kart in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Race at Dundalk.
With the benefit of just one previous outing under his belt, which yielded a fourth in a seven-furlong maiden here a fortnight ago, the gelded son of Munnings was sent off at 9-1 against more experienced rivals.
Go Kart appeared set to land the odds when hitting the front a furlong and a half from home, but her stride began to shorten and More Than Munny finished over the top of her to triumph by a neck.< All Body And Soul returned from nine months on the sidelines to land the Big Bad Bob Maiden.
The four-year-old didn't show the promise of his debut third in two subsequent starts but came with a withering run in the final furlong to beat Rocking The Blue by a neck as an 11-2 chance.
The ever-reliable Split The Atom (4-1) defied a welter burden to come out on top in a blanket finish to the Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Package Handicap.
Pat Shanahan's gelding is perhaps better over further than this six-furlong trip but that stood him in good stead in the closing stages as he stuck his neck out for Donnacha O'Brien to deny Dark Alliance by a head.< Meadow Cross (9-2) improved beyond almost all recognition, getting on the scoresheet at the 14th attempt with a comprehensive victory in the Follow Dundalk On Facebook Handicap.< Skerray Rules finished best of all to justify 11-8 favouritism in the Jolly January Dining Handicap (Div 1), with the second instalment falling to Pick Your Battle (16-1).< Northern Surprise (11-8 favourite) registered a double when beating Poetic Choice by a head here just before Christmas and accounted for the same rival to complete the hat-trick in the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.
